A different kind of attorney.

Bradlyn J. Cole didn't set out to become an attorney. Long before he ever set foot in a courtroom, he was selected for admission to the Louisiana School for Math, Science & the Arts — a highly selective residential school for the state's most academically driven students. That early foundation in rigorous, evidence-based thinking would end up shaping everything that came after.

From there, Bradlyn went on to LSU's Honors College, where he studied Environmental Management and Civil Engineering and played competitive soccer. Bradlyn's path veered slightly when he had the opportunity to earn his Associate in Applied Science Degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Our Lady of the Lake College and was licensed by the State of Louisiana to practice. It is here he developed a deeper understanding of orthopedic and neurological injuries and the long-term impact these injuries have on patients and their families. He later earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of New Orleans in 2001, then went deeper into the sciences — working in a virology research lab and completing graduate coursework in Microbiology, Immunology, and Parasitology. He spent his early career thinking like a scientist: testing hypotheses, scrutinizing data, and refusing to accept a conclusion until the evidence actually supported it.

In 2005, Bradlyn moved to Texas. Looking for a way to give back, he spent a year teaching high school science at one of the most diverse high schools in the state — a classroom filled with students from vastly different backgrounds, languages, and life circumstances. That year changed the direction of his life.

Standing in front of that classroom, Bradlyn saw up close how much a person's outcome in life could hinge on whether someone was in their corner — explaining things clearly, advocating for them, and treating them like they mattered. He realized law could be the vehicle for the same kind of impact he felt teaching, but with the tools to actually change outcomes for people at their most vulnerable moments.

He enrolled at the University of Houston School of Law, graduated early in December 2008, and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2009. He then spent years honing his craft at one of Texas' top litigation firms — the kind of practice that takes cases to trial rather than settling them off for pennies on the dollar.

Eventually, Bradlyn founded Bradlyn J. Cole & Associates so he could serve clients the way he believes they deserve to be served: with focused, personal attention from an attorney who still remembers what it means to actually listen.
